FISHING:

Pymatuning has some of the best fishing in Pennsylvania. Species include; Walleye, Muskie, Perch, Bass, Crappie, Bluegill, Catfish, Sunfish and Carp. All species at Pymatuning Lake have open season all year-round. Walleye minimum size is 15 inches, with a daily limit of 6. Bass minimum size is 12 inches, with a daily limit of 5. Muskie minimum size is 30 inches with a daily limit of 2. All other species have no minimum size or limit.

Tournaments: There is an annual Crappie Tournament held in May. There are also 2 Walleye tournaments held in May. There is a kids FREE Fishing Derby held 1st week in August.     

Fishing Licenses/Bait and Tackle: There are several local stores in the area that offer all that is needed to get you out fishing, including licenses. You will need a PA license to fish from the shore at the cottages, but you can use either a PA or Ohio license anywhere on the lake in a boat.
